QR codes to be installed on churches of Vologda oblast

A project named «The ring of historical memory» has gained a grant of 700,000 rubles for installing QR codes on ancient orthodox churches. The link will follow to the old pictures of the location. This project will affect mostly lost monuments including merchants’ houses, churches and cathedrals.

Transaero starts direct flights to Taipei from Moscow

The day before yesterday Transaero Airlines started weekly flight between Taipei and Moscow. Boeing 767-300 departs from the capital of Russia at 0.40 on Thursdays and arrives at 16.30. From Taipei, it departs at 18.00 on Thursdays, arrival in Moscow at 1.50.

Free ticket for Pushkin’s poems

On Pushkin’s Day (June 6) in Novosibirsk is will be possible to have a free ride on an underground train. Students, teachers and librarian will become «ticket collectors» for one day. Pushkin’s Day is also called Russian language day. It is celebrated with performances based on Pushkin’s fairytales and poems.

Toll roads to Moscow airports

Moscow authorities and Russian Ministry of Transportation are developing a paid option for A105 (a highway from Moscow to Domodedovo airport). State-owned Avtodor has been charged with working on a fee system. This innovation is related to reconstruction of the road and presents a part of a big project.

Russian government banned smoking on trains

Since June 1 smoking is no longer allowed on trains and local train platforms. The law is not applicable for long distance train platforms. Last year Russian authorities published the document that prohibited smoking in train station buildings and closer than 15m to the train station entry.
