The biggest plane in Russia is ready to take off
The 14th of July Russian airline company Transaero launched the flight from St Petersburg to Sochi on the biggest plane servicing in Russia. Boeing 747-400 passenger capacity is 522 and the day it took off it was 98% full. The flight is available on Mondays.
Moscow tourist police is on duty now
The 1st of July about hundred of tourist policemen started working on Moscow streets to help visitors. The police training that lasted 6 months included English classes and communication rules. Besides helping tourists, new police is in charge of providing security just loke a regular one.
New Moscow international airport to be constructed

Tourist flow to St. Petersburg decreasing
According to the statistics published by hotel pre-bookings in St. Petersburg, tourist flow to the second capital of Russia dropped by 10-15%. Experts presume that happened because of the imposition of sanctions (for foreign visitors), poorly organized transport infrastructure, high cost of visiting tourist attractions and traffic jams.
Russia will revert “winter time” in October
Russian government made a decision to change to «daylight saving time» and recently the State Duma passed the respective bill. Dmitry Medvedev abolished the seasonal time in 2011 when he was a president, but Russia Public Opinion Research Center claimed that the law to be unpopular. The bill is still to be signed.
